Trinbago Knight Riders vs St Lucia Zouks,
It was due and the pitch played pretty well. It didn't spin much. I just backed myself and executed my plan, which is to capitalize at the start. I have always been on the opposite side, it's good to play with TKR and have the fans on my side this time. The support has been tremendous.
Three wins on the trot for the defending champions! Lendl Simmons was the star of the chase. Despite losing Narine and Webster in the 2nd and 4th over respectively, the Trinidadian wasn't afraid to go after the bowlers. He didn't spare any St Lucia bowler as he scored a brisk 63, which comprised 5 fours and 4 sixes. His 72-run stand for the third wicket with Ramdin significantly reduced the required run rate. Post Simmons's downfall, the two experienced batsmen - Ramdin and Pollard - coupled aggression with sensible cricket smartly. The duo stitched an unbeaten 62-run stand as the visitors were quite generous to dole out freebies. The Knight Riders ended up hunting down the target with ease ... and 13 balls to spare.
